BCA Announces New Marketing and Activation Division - BankShot Entertainment
Broomfield, Colo - The Billiard Congress of America announces that it has aligned with Strike Ten Entertainment, the marketing and activation arm of the bowling industry to create BankShot Entertainment. BankShot Entertainment will have the responsibility of helping increase the profitability of billiard businesses, including pool rooms and retails stores, by researching and negotiating partnerships with nationally recognized companies that offer discounted products, services and rebates. Franciso Bustamante, Terry Bell and Larry Hubbart Gain BCA Hall of Fame Elections
Broomfield, Colo., July 27, 2010 — Francisco Bustamante, one of the most accomplished players to come out of the Philippines, has been elected for induction into the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame in voting conducted by the United States Billiard Media Association. Also, in the category of Meritorious Service, Terry Bell and Larry Hubbart, founders of the American Poolplayers Association league system in 1979, were elected for induction. Bustamante, 46; Bell, 66; and Hubbart, 69, will be formally inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame on Oct. 21 during ceremonies in conjunction with the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship in Chesapeake, Va. BCA Names Ivan Lee of Iwan Simonis 2010-2011 Board Chairman

BCA Announces Successful 2010 BCA Expo
Broomfield, Colo - July 21, 2010 - The 2010 edition of the Billiard Congress of America's (BCA) International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo, was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 14 - 16, 2010. The total attendance for the three-day event was 1,645 compared to 2009's total of 1,737; buyer attendance for the 2010 BCA Expo was 833, versus 953 in 2009. [ more ]
BCA Revamps Seal of Approval Program
Broomfield, Colo - May 25, 2010 - The Billiard Congress of America (BCA) revamps the Seal of Approval Program. The BCA Intructor program awards a "BCA Instructors Seal of Approval" for excellent products used in billiard training or teaching. BCA Honors Frederick Mali with 2009 President's Award.
Each year the President of the Billiard Congress of America Board of Directors recognizes an outstanding individual who has made significant contributions to the billiard industry with the presentation of the BCA President's Award. This year the BCA Board President has chosen to recognize Frederick Mali. Mali, who passed away at the age of 76 in 2007, was the president and CEO of The Henry W.T. Mali & Co., Inc. (Mali Cloth), the oldest continuously family-run company in New York City, founded in 1826. [ more ]

BCA Announces International Billiard & Home Recreational Expo Date Change
At the BCA Board of Directors meeting in September, the Board unanimously voted to change the date of their 2010 International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo to Wednesday, July 14 through Friday, July 16, 2010.
