Gregory, Lecorgne to Fill Vacant BCA Board Seats
The Board of Directors of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) announces that it has appointed Tom Gregory, of Toltec Lighting, and Greg Lecorgne, of Dave & Buster’s, to fill two vacant Board seats for the 2008-2009 Board year. Gregory will fill the open Manufacturer/Distributor seat and Lecorgne will fill the open Room Operator seat. [ more ]
BCA Announces Qualifiers for WPA 10-Ball World Championships
The Billiard Congress of America (BCA) announces two qualifier events for the inaugural World-Pool Billiard Association (WPA) 10-Ball World Championships in Manila, Philippines, September 29-October 5, 2008. The first qualifier event will be held August 23-24, 2008, at Magoo's in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The second qualifier event will be held September 6-7, 2008, at the California Billiard Club in Mountain View, California. [ more ]
BCA Partners with USPPA to Host World Juniors and Wheelchair Championships
The Billiard Congress of America (BCA) and the United States Pool Players Association (USPPA) announces plans for the USPPA to host the 2008 World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) Junior World 9-Ball Championships and 2008 WPA World 9-Ball Championship for Wheelchair Players in Reno, Nevada, November 30-December 3, 2008. These events will take place at the Sands Regency Hotel in conjunction with the USPPA Pro Am and Reno Open, scheduled December 4-13, 2008. In addition, the USPPA will present a qualifier for the Junior World Championships at the California Billiard Club in Mountain View, California, on Friday, November 28, 2008. [ more ]
BCA Names Sean Cummings of Brunswick Billiards 2008-2009 Board President
Following its general membership meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina, on June 11, 2008, the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) announced the results of the 2008-2009 Board of Directors elections. In follow-up elections, Sean Cummings (Brunswick Billiards) accepted a one-year term as BCA Board president, as did each of the remaining seated officers: First Vice President Ivan Lee (Iwan Simonis); Second Vice President Kathy Vegh (Danny Vegh’s Billiards & Home); Secretary Renee Poehlman (American Poolplayers Association); and Treasurer Bob Radford (Antique Billiard Supply). Charlotte Plays Host to "Far From Conventional" 2008 BCA Expo
 The 25th Anniversary edition of the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo has come to a close. The event, produced by the BCA, was held at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C., June 12-14, 2008. Combining a unique mix of innovative exhibitors, qualified buyers, strategic business seminars, professional pool play, recognition for the game’s greatest players and a little fun, the Billiard Congress of America (BCA) is pleased to announce that the event was a success. BCA Secures Multi-Year Las Vegas Venues for its Annual Expo
The Billiard Congress of America (BCA) is pleased to announce that the International Billiard & Home Recreation Expo will return to Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning in 2009. The BCA has secured the Sands Convention Center for the 2009 Expo, which will take place June 25-27, 2009, and the Las Vegas Convention Center, June 24-26, 2010. The Expo will also be held in Las Vegas in 2011 and 2012, with the dates and locations for those years still to be determined. [ more ]
